Aurora Engineering designs active fire protection as part of building services: sprinkler and gas extinguishing systems, fire alarm and voice alarm systems to DIN 14675, smoke and heat extraction, pressurisation systems and fire protection in HVAC and electrical installations, aligned with the fire safety concept and special building regulations.

Active fire protection implements what the fire safety concept demands and protects people, buildings and operations. We design it integrated with ventilation, electrical and plumbing so that interfaces do not become gaps.

Do you also prepare the fire safety concept?

The fire safety concept is prepared by a fire safety consultant. We implement its requirements through building systems and coordinate closely with the consultant and the authority.

When is a sprinkler system required?

This follows from building class, use and special building regulations, for example retail above 3,000 m², high-rises or as compensation for deviations. We check this against the fire safety concept.

What is a cause-and-effect matrix?

A table defining how each system reacts in case of fire: ventilation stops, fire dampers close, lifts travel to the evacuation level, doors unlock. It is the basis for programming and testing.
